Here you as a participant can find promotional material to use in social media and other communication channels. Spread the word about Malmö's new international design event and tell your followers all about your project for SSDD 2021! Participants with a physical event can also free of charge pick up printed material to use at your location.

Digital and physical formats – information for participants

27–30 May, Southern Sweden Design Days 2021 kicks off! The theme for 2021 is “1+1=3”. Southern Sweden Design Days’ mission is to be an inclusive, sustainable, exploratory and experimental event, where the combination of collaborations, knowledge sharing and entertainment is central.

SSDD Studio

SSDD Studio will broadcast content such as panel discussions, seminars, interviews and workshops, etc. during all four event days via southernswedendesigndays.com. As a participant, you have the opportunity to apply free of charge to participate in the studio, show a self-produced film in the tableau or send in a short film sequence.

Film production at Lokstallarna

As a participant, you have the opportunity to get film material connected to your program produced at Lokstallarna. Prices are significantly reduced thanks to our partnership with in-discourse. You will have the possibility to embed your video to your program on southernswedendesigndays.com or apply to the SSDD Studio, by submitting your movie.

Physical activities around Malmö city

We are hopeful that physical activities in the city can be open to visitors during the event days in May. (As we mentioned earlier, Southern Sweden Design Days ‘Main location’ at Lokstallarna will be rescheduled this year without physical visits on site).

Who can participate?

Southern Sweden Design Days 2021 is open to participants within the fields of design, architecture and craft:

  • Independent practitioners, agencies, studios and collectives;
  • Design brands and companies active in the fields of design;
  • Educational institutions, cultural institutions, industry organisations and associations.

Practitioners who are not based in southern Sweden may also participate.

Locations

Participants in Southern Sweden Design Days are responsible for finding a venue for their event. Have you as a participant not yet found one? During our open mic at the info session on the 23 January 2020 a number of venues were presented available to participants of Southern Sweden Design Days. Here’s a brief presentation of these venues. Contact each venue for more info.
