An exhibition about achieving something out of ''nothing''
The expression "to boil soup on a nail" can mean to succeed in achieving something out of "nothing", in a seemingly hopeless situation. The way the climate situation looks today, it is easy to close our eyes and feel that the situation is hopeless, but maybe the answers are in what we have already achieved? Making ceramics on nails, Artibus ceramists interpret as using the resources and materials that are already available.
With the ceramic works, the artists want to make the observer act. Action comes from first rethinking, seeing possibilities in what is perceived as impossible. Perhaps the solution is already in front of us; in something we have not yet noticed. All ceramists work based on the same theme and the result is the breadth and diversity found in the workshop at Artibus. This year's theme is Making ceramics on nails and it will show both individual and collective works.
