Mending what was never broken

Donna Maione (PhD) collaboratively designs reparative and zero-waste transitional spaces. She recently joined the Department of Design at Linnaeus University for her Postdoc on circular textiles. She enjoyed teaching at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and Parsons School of Design in NYC. In her art practice, she explores the underbelly of post-consumer textile waste through watercolor wastescapes and mending forgotten textiles.

Hanna Hofverberg (PhD) is an associate senior lecturer at Malmö University, where she works at the department of Natural Science, Mathematics and Society. Her research interests are centered around Environmental and Sustainability Education (ESE) in crafts, design and technology and learning environments and school architecture.

Åsa Ståhl (PhD) is a design researcher and a senior lecturer at the Department of Design at Linnaeus University, currently leading the research project Holding Surplus House. Her interdisciplinary work combines participatory design with feminist technoscience and environmental posthumanities in explorations and speculations of how to make and know liveable worlds. 

Svenja Keune (PhD) is a researcher at the Swedish School of Textile, University of Borås. During her Ph.D. within the MSCA ArcInTexETN she turned towards seeds as a dynamic material for textile design and moved into a Tiny House on Wheels to live together with her experiments. Currently, she is working on several research projects that deepen her work into co-creation in community and combining human and more-than-human inclusion in design.
