Sabina Bjarnevik is a Malmö-based artist who enjoys experimenting with different types of materials. During her upbringing, she has done everything from painting, building furniture and sewing.

Mattias Elofsson is a freelance adventure photographer with multiple years in the outdoor industry. He focuses on capturing beautiful moments on his many adventures around the globe. When he is not traveling, cykling, skiing or kayaking he resides here in Skåne’s capital Malmö. 

Josefa is a Malmö born and based artist. Her chemically unbalanced-charged brain has affected her in all situations and stages of her life. She started to transform those feelings and thoughts into playful colours and emotions on canvas and paper. She began by studying a foundation at Central St Martins in London and then pursued an education at Malmö University in Visual Communication. Since then, she has never dropped the pencils and brushes.

Her style is depressive, yet colourful and playful.

With a strong interest in screen printing and graphic design, we present Samuel Krantz as a new addition to Malmö’s design world. Samuel has a background in art history studies at Lund University and is greatly inspired by 60’s pop art and poster culture. Screen printing has taken over his life and apartment as screens and homemade equipment covers any free spot there is. We find him at the startup of his self made printshop. Screen printing is a process that demands an eye for detail and a lot of patience. Nothing turns out perfect but that is the charm of the process and method. - I have previously worked at a laboratory and that is probably why I’m enjoying working with a process that takes a lot of attention to detail. In a time where digitalisation and automatisation have reached the printing businesses it is very rewarding to work with an analog process that still has the human touch to the print. For the Southern Design Days Samuel has been inspired by his own acrylic paintings which he has digitalized and screen printed. Beyond displaying his own art he also present his print shop, Lucky Days Printing and the services he provides.

Måns Olsson is a multidisciplinary artist who works with different media such as painting, sculptures and music. 

The motivation for Olsson is a mix of melancholy and bestial trance, where the focus is on expelling the rotten and corrupt from the mind and in the moment finding peace within oneself, catharsis simply. There he examines the trauma and life between the conscious and unconscious parts of himself. 

The works on display deal with the dark helplessness of depression, where Olsson visually formulates and brings to the surface his thoughts and feelings that lie beyond language.

The handmade artworks is created from pre-loved materials. The love and inspiration comes from great extreme texture, shape and form. Using patchwork to create a new unique fabric. Link-Klara are always trying to see the potential in an couple of old jeans no one wanted at the thrift store for an example. What can she create from it, how can she make it new? Some days she’s improvising, uses draping. Just laying the design piece by piece. Some of her best designs is made that way. Some days she get visions of her working on a new project before she starts, she can lay in bed at night, coming up with a new design in her head. Watching her photographing it and making it fitted to her exact measurements. The next morning she just gets up and make it.
