Passion for colorful items and home
KAU design shop is part of the interior design agency KAU interiors, which was founded in Malmö in 2022 by interior designer Anniina Urho. The idea for the KAU design shop store was first born through the love for Finnish design, quality and color that has now grown from idea to reality. KAU design shop has hand-picked design gems from smaller Nordic brands and often female designers whom KAU particularly wants to highlight.
The Scandinavian style has been very monotonic and a little apologetic for far too long. KAU stands for daring to take a place, daring to be yourself and adding color to life. Life is too short so we get to enjoy it now and make everyday life more fun with splashes of color in our homes. KAU interiors furnishes homes and businesses with great passion for each assignment that is unique.
KAU's mission is to elevate and develop smaller brands so that more can be inspired by inspiring and innovative design, sustainable products and beautiful colors.
We love everything to do with the home, that's why we also have our own art gallery new exhibition every month. During SSDD, we have the honor of having Malmö's Frida Ek's exhibition in our gallery. Frida Ek is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Malmö. Frida experiments with different techniques and has a preference for textiles and spatial environments.
