WEAVE !

Betty Norling is an artist, fashion, and textile designer based in Malmö, with a master’s degree from Det Kongelige Akademi. Her work explores bodily presence in spatial design, drawing inspiration from materials and universal human themes. Weaving becomes an investigation of the relationship between body and space.

Karin Mailänder has studied at, among other places, Gerlesborgskolan of Fine Art and Handarbetets Vänner. She works as a scenic painter for theater and film, and has run her own company focusing on interior design and color schemes for public spaces. Her artistic practice is characterized by a curiosity about color, textile structures, and their expressive power.

Linn Karlsson is educated at Handarbetets Vänner School and Konstfack. With a practice centered on weaving and materiality, she is interested in the history of craft, techniques, and problem-solving. She draws inspiration from weaving and craftsmanship from times when resource efficiency was both a necessity and a given – and how that is reflected in the objects themselves.

Storm Philippa Clarén is an artist based in Malmö, educated at Konstfack and Capellagården. Her artistic practice is infused with humor, mischief, mythology, and a fondness for color. At Tanken, she presents weavings inspired by Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.
