An exhibition about the transformation of emotions through clay.
This collection of ceramic vases represents the silent, invisible growth of my fibroids and the complex emotions they have evoked over time. Just as these fibroids have deformed part of my body, each piece in this collection is intentionally deformed, bent, and sculpted—reflecting the personal transformations we undergo throughout life. The spherical shapes embody the internal process of change, representing my fibroids as they expand and evolve, quietly reshaping my body, much like our emotions evolve in response to life’s challenges.
For me, it is as if with this collection of vases I could give it meaning, as if by shaping the emotions these fibroids generate in clay, they would disappear from my body—or at least the pain they cause me. I needed to give shape to my emotions, using the form that I imagine these fibroids take. Every part of the body carries a resonance—a voice that echoes through my hands and the very material I shape. Everything is connected; each piece is a reflection of who I am.
This work is both an invitation and my hope: to transform pain into beauty, to find peace in what cannot be changed, and to create space for personal growth in the form of something beautiful, lasting, and meaningful.
