Impressions in the sand
PL179 is a historical planning document for Kirseberg that includes the plot, gravel pit and valley that has been a home to many people. On modern maps, it is called Sperlings hage. In the summer, the valley's sand walls give shelter from the heat.
Through sand casting, objects are created that bear traces of the place and explore the memories that remain. The sand mold is fragile and is usually used only once, which makes each object unique. The technique provides the opportunity to create both simple and complex expressions. The combination of traditional craft techniques and modern design creates a dialogue between then and now and carries the stories from the site forward.
