Lines and magic
Anna Celander: paperconservator, artist and poet, working in Malmö/ Smygehamn.
I draw. I draw on everything. I started early with that. It's one of my ways of understanding the world, while at the same time escaping it for a moment. To draw is quieter than writing, so sometimes I rest my head when I draw. Silence and time.
A line on a surface can enclose, exclude, become mute or suddenly begin to vibrate and create lives that did not exist before I put the pen on the surface and let the line run. It's like magic. What I show here is a small part of what I do, so welcome to my room of lines. Timelines.
Welcome to a group exhibition that explores materials and their properties - what they have been, our ideas about what they should be and how they can be used if we allow ourselves to play and are not afraid to fail.
We let go of the reins and gallop regardless of whether we fall on our asses or not. Since it is only through falling on one’s ass that development can be achieved.

An echo travels through the room, bounces, breaks, changes. The exhibition Off Pitch Echoes is an investigation of this idea and how small shifts, distortions and dissonances give rise to new expressions.
