The evolution of the signet ring. exhibition / pop-up shop
Once upon a time, the signet ring was worn by high-ranking nobel men. It was used to sign letters and important papers and symbolized class, power and wealth. A signet ring is often inherited and echoes down through generations.
But times change, values are updated and mutiny occur. The evolution of the once perfect surface, the symbol of capitalism and patriarchy, is slowly breaking down with each generation. Textures are created, levels in the plain and stiff. There are no longer any rules of who can or cannot wear a signet ring. A signet ring is now worn by everyone regardless of gender identity or class! Come as you are! Wear what you want! The imperfect is the new perfect!
