Finding new paths and ideas is an opportunity to advance. You had to learn that early on, often tiring, sometimes sucessful. Over the years, master upholsterer Stefan Spång has designed, produced and sold sofas and armchairs to furniture stores in both Norway and Sweden. The collaboration with other companies and architects has at times been extensive and has given Spångs great experience and knowledge. Prototypes and series production have been developed for, among others, Blå Station, Invacare, Brio, Ikea, Abstracta. Among the architects are Stefan Borzelius, Fredrik Mattsson, Christine Schwarzer, Jan Hellzen, Lars Engman and others. After many years of working for a variety of clients, the pendulum is now swinging back to its origins with its own range, as Spångs once started.
Johan Spång has worked at Spångs since 2016. He also graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Crafts as an upholsterer after two years of training. As his examination, he designed the Harald sheepskin armchair, which is now Spång's latest piece of furniture.
