MALMÖ!! A historical and contemporary exhibition with nostalgia and punky romanticism
MALMÖ!! is a group exhibition with Malmö-based Pernilla Hultén, Henrik Möller, GUDAGRANT, Max Solca and SMISK A deep dive into the city of Malmö from both a historical and contemporary perspective. Works such as a documentary film about the dismantling of the Kockums Crane, T-shirt design, animations, graffiti, are interspersed with punk music and performance.

PERNILLA HULTÉN is a Malmö-based filmmaker who grew up in Limhamn and studied film at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara where she received a Bachelor degree in film/video in 1990. Pernilla Hultén has produced approx. 100 films as a freelance filmmaker in Sweden and in the USA. 2002-03 she made the documentary film Kranfrossa, a unique period document about the dismantling of the Kockums Crane and how it affected the people of Malmö and Malmö as a city.
HENRIK MÖLLER from Malmö, is a Swedish writer and filmmaker active in Malmö. He is perhaps best known for his over a hundred drawn satirical art films mostly about Malmö. Möller has exhibited at Malmö konsthall during the gallery night in 2009 and the films have been shown on TV and film festivals in North and South America.
MAX SOLCA is a graffiti painter active in Malmö. His paintings are simple and stripped-down with a focus on humor, contrast and recognition. Works widely with animations, clothing design etc. but usually paints outdoors in carefully selected locations with a spray can.
GUDAGRANT is a Malmö-based printing house that was founded in 2020 and is run by Lin and Jimmy Hafström. Gudagrant works with screen printing for customers but also designs and prints its own material. Several of their motifs are Malmö-influenced, such as their Kuken, Malmö Kommun and Malmö Barbie designs.
SMISK is an infamous punk quintet, based in Malmö, that has existed since 2016. With their x-rated femme-punk and risqué lyrics, the band has become known both for their confrontational and unpredictable live shows, and for their lavish and extreme stage outfits. The find themselves somewhere between filthy and extravagant punk rock and avant-garde performance art. SMiSK is Felicia Fredriksson, Linnéa Jönsson, Elina Pahnke, Felicia Scholander and Ivar Strömdahl.
