Hand och Stål (Hand and Steel) is a collaborative exhibition featuring STUDIO KLINGA and the architectural firm VIKLUND ECKERDAL, two young design practices based in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In a dialogue through design, Hand och Stål explores the relationship between humans, tools and processed materials. The exhibition takes the chair Svaj by VIKLUND ECKERDAL as its point of departure, a piece created using computer-controlled machining combined with traditional furniture craftsmanship. STUDIO KLINGA works at the intersection of architecture, design, and art. For SSDD, they have designed objects that interpret the theme Hand och Stål, with the chair Svaj as a starting point for the design process.
