FIR Group Exhibition: Over & Over

“Either I’m funny or the world’s funny, I don’t know which” is an ongoing project that began in 2014, capturing in the mundane moments of everyday life and the beauty of relationships in all their forms. Rather than seeking to fix or change, the project takes a step back to observe and appreciate what has been and what is yet to come.

Greg Jackson is a photographer and art director from South London, currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. His work serves as a reflection on life, exploring the beauty found in people, relationships, and fleeting moments. Through a quiet, observational approach, the work aims at revealing the humour, tenderness, and depth in the everyday—embracing what is rather than seeking to alter it.

Johan Bešlagić Gelinder is a Creative Technologist and the founder of While Loops Interactive. In his work, he explores the intersection of art, technology, and public space.

His art is inspired by the present moment, emphasizing the importance of being here and now. Through his work, he seeks to visualize time and space in thought-provoking ways, creating an atmosphere that invites viewers to simply be and reflect on the present.

Bitter Pink is a tumbler glass series paying homage to the classic aperitif Negroni. It captures the essence of summer evenings, when the sun is still up and stone floors radiate the warmth of the day. Colorful blobs in orange and pink bring playfulness to the simple form. Produced at Bergdalahyttan in Småland, all glasses are handblown and unique, building a composition together. 

Katharina Wohlleben is a multidisciplinary product and interior designer, living in Malmö. She is passionate about exploring color and material interactions.

Madelene Wikskär is a Swedish brand designer, graphic designer and illustrator known for her bold, storytelling-driven art. With a background in both illustration and design, she creates visually striking compositions that blend vibrant colors, organic lines, and playful contrasts. Her work often explores the balance between harmony and disruption, capturing movement and energy in every piece.

A true multidisciplinary creative, Madelene has worked with both major brands and small businesses, bringing a unique artistic perspective to each project. One standout example is FIR, where she designed their entire visual identity. Her artwork on FIR’s roller shutters became so iconic that it is now a permanent fixture, shaping the bar’s creative soul.

Whether designing for branding, editorial, or independent commissions, Madelene’s work seamlessly merges artistic expression with strong visual communication, making a lasting impact on every space it inhabits.

Per Rosqvist is a furniture and interior designer. He built much of what you see inside of FIR and spent hours of work bringing warmth and character to the space.

Sara Elz is a versatile artist and musician who also expresses herself through bold, colourful crochet. Her creations—beanies, hats, vests, sweaters, and more—are all one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. She doesn’t follow any rules; instead, she lets impulse and intuition guide her, resulting in organic patterns and unexpected color combinations. Every piece is a spontaneous adventure where the yarn takes the lead—sometimes the outcome is pure magic, sometimes a little wonky, but always full of life and character.

"Ateljé Söder om syd" is a reference to its location south of the most southern highway (E65) in Sweden, just a few kilometers away from the very southern tip of the country.

Peter Sandberg’s love for woodworking began at age 8 or 9 when his grandfather taught him to carve a whistle from a sallow branch. Over the years, his passion for craftsmanship evolved, and meeting his wife, with her academic design background, deepened his connection to aesthetics and form.

What began as Peter’s personal project soon became a shared endeavour, with his wife playing an essential role in the creative process. Together, they craft a cohesive collection of wooden products, striving to build a timeless brand.

Their focus is on creating enduring, heirloom-quality pieces where form sometimes takes precedence over function. Every item—platters, bowls, or sculptural vases—is designed to be used and cherished. They hold a special appreciation for the kitchen and dining table, spaces where families connect, find strength, and uphold traditions.
