A visual journey from dissonance to resonance
Resonance presents works by six craft artists where dissonance, this year's overall theme for Southern Sweden Design Days, has guided the selection of the exhibition. Here, individual objects in a varied spectrum of materials, expressions and crafts come together to form a new whole - a visual journey from dissonance to resonance. The exhibition also highlights craftsmanship as a counterforce to a contemporary society of mass consumption and time optimisation.
The exhibition is produced by the Swedish Crafts Centre, an organisation for professional craft artist. We want to highlight contemporary Swedish crafts, an expansive field that is attracting international interest. Resonance features works by six members of the Swedish Crafts Centre: Anja Fredell, Frida Lundén Mörck, Jögge Sundqvist, Laura Blake, Linn Sjöstedt and Ulrika Swärd.
