Try your hand at linoleum printing and make your own print of local wildlife and creatures
Get to know the non-human creatures living side-by-side with the residents of Malmö and across the Öresund by creating your own linoleum print masterpiece. Learn how to print your own linoleum prints! In this beginner's workshop, you will learn how to design, cut and print a lino print - a graphic printmaking technique using a soft rubber block and relief print. There will be some reference material available.
During this guided workshop session, you will be provided with all the tools, linoprint block, and instruction from local artist, Kate Saunders. You can select a creature from a variety of different references and learn more about how this nonhuman organism is connected to the ecosystem.
At the end of the session you will leave with at least one or more small art prints and hopefully a deeper connection with your chosen creature!
