Building Worlds in Virtual Reality
What does the future of VR and XR within the creative industries look like? How will our workflows and the way we create evolve as new technologies emerge? In the last few years the XR industry has grown exponentially and as its technologies have become more and more sophisticated, virtual reality and mixed realities are becoming more a part of how and why we create.
The purpose of this performance is to showcase the possibilities that exist in creating and designing inside of virtual reality using programs like Gravity Sketch and Tilt Brush/Open Brush, as well as to show how they can be included in already existing workflows and paired with other creative programs. Gravity Sketch and Open Brush are already being paired with Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine and Keyshot for world building, assets, product design, concept art, educational and immersive experiences and more in fields like footwear design, game and medicine.
The performance will take place at STPLN Malmö in conjunction with the Locally Alien festival and Southern Sweden Design Days where I will be creating immersive worlds live using some of the subject matters of the festival as inspiration.
